25: A day without laughter

After a rough week and a long conference, I was feeling a little down, and needed a reminder to laugh. Bad news tends to put me in a funk – you would think by now I that I would be equipped to handle it.

Somehow, I still need to be reminded to laugh and find the joy. So that is exactly what I did. I found something to make me laugh.

Now, this quote is often attributed to Charlie Chaplin, however that is incorrect. A French writer, Nicholas Camfort, is the first known publication of these words: “La plus perdue de toutes les journées est celle où l’on n’a pas ri.” Which translates to “A day without laughter is a wasted day.”

Don’t waste today. Go laugh.
